What is the purpose of the Progress Bar Settings screen?
- This screen allows you to set Negative & Positive Progress Gap Thresholds, which are initially setup to -25% and +25% respectively.
- These two thresholds are used to highlight the risk of not completing the Projects & Tasks on schedule by assigning distinct colors to the Project & Task Actual Progress Bars.
Which colors and what criteria are used to assign them to the Project & Task Actual Progress Bars?
- The Turquoise color is used for Complete Projects & Tasks.
- The Red color is used for Late Projects & Tasks.
- The Orange color is used for Projects & Tasks having Progress Gap Percent lower than the Negative Progress Gap Threshold. These Projects & Tasks are considered to have high risk of not completing on schedule.
- The Yellow color is used for Projects & Tasks having Progress Gap Percent between the Negative and Positive Progress Gap Thresholds. These Projects & Tasks are considered to have medium risk of not completing on schedule.
- The Green color is used for Projects & Tasks having Progress Gap Percent higher than the Positive Progress Gap Threshold. These Projects & Tasks are considered to have low risk of not completing on schedule.
How should we calibrate the Progress Bar Settings?
- You should calibrate the Progress Bar Settings in order to better accommodate your risk management approach to your projects.
- You will increase the value of both Negative & Positive Progress Gap Thresholds, i.e move them to the right side of the scale, when you want to highlight sooner that your Projects & Tasks are at risk of running behind schedule.
- You will decrease the value of both Negative & Positive Progress Gap Thresholds, i.e. move them to the left side of the scale, when you want to highlight later that your Projects & Tasks are at risk of running behind schedule.
